Health Need: Behavioral Health

Individuals with mental illnesses including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use disorders, often struggle to get appropriate treatment for a variety of reasons including information gaps about these disorders, and the stigma surrounding them. Many who are underdiagnosed end up in the emergency department with serious illnesses or injuries. These issues are particularly notable for vulnerable populations including the homeless.
